Wang Qi, Male, Chinese medicine scientist, National Medicine Master, Professor. In 1980, he graduated from the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (formerly the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine) with a master’s degree. He is the dean of the Institute of TCM physical constitution and prevention of disease of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
He has been engaged in TCM clinical treatment for 56 years and has made great achievements in the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic diseases, allergic diseases and male reproductive diseases. He was named as a Master of Chinese Medicine in 2014. After 41 years of research on TCM constitution, nine types of constitution and the correlation between constitution and diseases were found. He established a new discipline of TCM Constitution, formulated the establishment of China’s first constitution classification industry standards, and established the constitution identification method, which is a historic breakthrough for the scientific innovation of TCM into the national public health system.
He pioneered TCM andrology, initiated the adjustment of the constitution to treat male infertility, male erectile dysfunction and other diseases, and developed two new drugs classified as the national 3rd kind new drug.
He was elected as the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2019.
