Professor LYU Aiping

Professor Aiping Lyu is the Dean and Dr. Kennedy Wong Endowed professor/Chair professor of the School of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University. From 1987 to 1999, he was working in China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences as associate professor and professor, and among that period of time, he worked in Ohio State University (1990-1991) and Lund University (1996-1997) as a visiting scholar. From October 1999 to October 2002, he served as Director of Institute of Basic Theory, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Then, he served as the Chairman of Jiangxi Herbfine Pharmaceutical Inc. (National Engineering Research Center on Herbal Preparations) for 4 years to June 2006. From June 2006 to February 2012, he served as the Deputy Director of Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Professor Lyu has published more than 400 academic papers in top international journals (including Nature Medicine, Nature Review in Drug Discovery, Nature Communications, Biomaterials) in a wide range of areas including bone and joint diseases, cancer, bioinformatics, and drug discovery.
